KANAMYCIN-250
Sterile solution for injection 
Composition : Each ml contains :-
Kanamycin monosulfate equivalent to Kanamycin 250 mg
Description : Kanamycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic with a bactericidal action against both
gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria but spectrum of activity focuses primarily
on gram-negative organisms and a few gram-positive organisms such as E. coli, Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Pasteurella spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Corynebacterium spp. and Acinetobacter spp. sensitive to Kanamycin.
Indications : For the treatment of infections caused by bacteria susceptible to Kanamycin such as
bone and joint infections, otitis media, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract or
uterine infections, skin and soft tissue infections in beef cattle, pigs, dogs and cats.
Dosage and administration :
Administration- By intramuscular or subcutaneous injection e.g. 
beef cattle and pigs– by intramuscular,
dogs and cats – by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection,
administered once daily or twice daily (in equally divided doses at 12-hour
intervals.) for 3 – 5 or 5 –7 consecutive days, depend on severity.
Dosage - Beef cattle: 6 – 7.5 mg Kanamycin per kg bodyweight
or 1 – 1.2 ml KANAMYCIN-250 per 40 kg bodyweight.
Pigs: 6 – 7.5 mg Kanamycin per kg bodyweight
or 1 – 1.2 ml KANAMYCIN-250 per 40 kg bodyweight.
Dogs,Cats: 11 mg Kanamycin per kg bodyweight
or 1 ml KANAMYCIN-250 per 22.73 kg bodyweight.
Storage : Should not store above 25 °C and protected from light.
