Composition : Each ml contains:-Tolfenamic acid 40 mg
Description : Tolfenamic acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts
anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activities.
Indications : For the treatment of acute inflammation associated with bacterial infections
which indicated in 2 target species;
In Cattle : Use for an adjunct in the treatment of acute mastitis, used in conjunction
with antibacterial therapy and for an aid in control of acute inflammation
associated with bacterial respiratory infections, used in conjunction with
antibacterial therapy.
In Pigs : Use for an adjunct in the treatment of Metritis Mastitis Agalactia syndrome
(MMA), used in conjunction with antibacterial therapy.
Dosage and administration :
In Cattle : For mastitis, the recommended dosage is 4 mg/kg bw (1ml/10 kg bw), as a single IV injection.
For respiratory infections, the recommended dosage is 2 mg/kg bw (1 ml/20 kg bw)
by IV or SC injection, the treatment may be repeated once after 48 hrs.
In Pigs : For MMA, the recommended dosage is 2 mg/kg bw (1 ml/20 kg bw) as a
single IM injection into the neck musculature.
Withdrawal times Cattle : Meat (IV) – 3 days; Meat (SC) – 7 days; Milk – 24 hrs.
Pigs : Meat – 3 days.
