NOVALISTIN 40 Mix
Water-soluble powder for oral administration / medicated feed premix
Composition: Each kg contains:-
Colistin sulphate 400 gm (Colistin sulphate 1 mg equivalent to 20,000 IU potency of Colistin)
Description: Colistin is classified in a group of polypeptide antibiotics, have more effective mainly 
against gram-negative bacteria and the most commonly used orally because it can not
be particularly absorbed in alimentary tract. It is highly safe without residue.
Indications: For the treatment and prevention of gastroenteric disease and diarrhea caused by gram-
negative bacteria susceptible to Colistin such as Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa,
Salmonella and Shigella spp. in calves, pigs and poultry (chickens, ducks)etc..
Dosage & Administration:
For calves and pigs; recommended dose is 100,000 IU Colistin (potency) / kg bw./ day,
or use 12.5 mg of NOVALISTIN 40 Mix / kg bw./ day.
For poultry; recommended dos is 75,000 IU Colistin (potency) / kg bw./ day,
or use 9.37 mg of NOVALISTIN 40 Mix / kg bw./ day.
To be administered by dissolve in drinking-water or mixing with feed for 3-5 days.
Withdrawal times: Claves, pigs and poultry – 7 days.
Precautions: Do not be used in layer during laying period.
Do not use in combination with tetracyclines, bacitracin or olaquindox.
Storage: Store in dry place, should not above 25 OC and protect from direct sunlight.
